Alright so yesterday I wasted like two hours running around like a headless chicken trying to scrounge up Plastids for my new frame blueprint. That junk drops less often than a winning lottery ticket sometimes. Felt like tearing my hair out. Figured I better actually buckle down and figure out the fastest way to grab this stuff before I go insane.

Starting Point: The Sad Old Advice
First thing I did? Obviously hit up those dusty old forums and guides everyone keeps linking. Big mistake. Half of them were yelling about some Dark Sector survival on Saturn or endless defense runs. Loaded up Cassini on Saturn because the credit reward looked nice on paper. What a joke. Ran it for 10 solid minutes, smashed every container I saw, blasted every Grineer goon who looked at me funny. You know how many Plastids I walked out with? Like freaking 300. Pathetic. Felt like a total waste of a booster.
Switched over to Helene, same dumb planet, slightly different map. Managed a slightly better haul, maybe 500 after another long slog, but still felt like a crawl. I ain’t got time for this. So I said screw Saturn entirely.
The Pivot: Ears Perked Up for Eris
Started digging deeper past those ancient posts. Saw a couple of whispers about Eris. Wasn’t too hopeful, figured it was just another wild goose chase. But man, was I wrong. Hopped over to Eris specifically, aiming for this nightmare Survival mission called Zabala. Chose my trusty Nekros prime – gotta get those extra loot rolls, right? Grabbed a friend running Khora too, just to really shake down those Infested freaks for everything they’re worth.
Strapped in for 20 minutes straight in that toxic goo Infested map. Non-stop bashing Infested heads in, Desecrate running constantly, Khora’s loot cat doing its thing. The difference? Night and day. Felt like a faucet finally turned on.
The Goldmine: Infested Are Walking Pinatas
Those Infested mobs? They swarmed like ants on sugar. Constant spawns, non-stop punching bags. And the Plastids just started dripping out of them compared to Saturn. Plus, every single container and locker in that place seemed stuffed with potential Plastids bundles.

After the first 20 minutes? My counter wasn’t stuck in the hundreds anymore. We’re talking thousands stacked up. I actually yelled “Holy crap!” at my screen like a dork.
Ran it again, same setup: Nekros doing his loot dance, Khora’s Strangledome hoovering up enemies and resources. Got another easy 8k Plastids without even trying super hard. Felt so much better than grinding my gears on Saturn for pennies.
Loadout Matters: Don’t Be a Chump
You gotta juice those drops if you want Plastids fast. Forget running Solo without any loot buffs. That’s torture. Here’s what I slapped together:
- Frame Choice: Nekros with Desecrate active 24/7. Basic. Mandatory. Khora with Pilfering Strangledome augment is monster too.
- Weapons: Doesn’t even matter honestly. Aoe stuff like Ignis Wraith makes cleaning up mobs easier.
- Pet: Smeeta Kavat for the possible resource boost charm. Chance is chance, but hey, free bonus sometimes.
- Boosters: Resource Booster obviously doubles everything. Resource Drop Chance booster? Chef’s kiss if you got the plat. Makes Zabala rain Plastids.
Don’t waste time meticulously cracking every single crate unless you see a big group. Focus on butchering the constant Infested waves first and foremost. That’s where the meat and potatoes are.
The Verdict: Farm Smarter, Not Longer
So yeah, scratched that Plastids itch good. Forget Saturn. Forget those old guides whispering about defense missions giving you scraps. Zabala Survival on Eris is where the party’s at if you’re drowning in blueprints starving for Plastids. Bring a loot squad, or at least Nekros. Stay in for 15-20 mins minimum. You’ll literally see your Plastids count jump by thousands per run instead of pathetic hundreds.

Peace out, back to building my toys.
