Alright, guys, so I decided to check out this whole Formula 1 race map thing in Las Vegas. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see those cars zooming around the Strip, right? So I started digging around to see what this was all about.

First, I looked up when this whole spectacle was happening. It turns out the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2024 is scheduled for November 21 to 23. Plenty of time to plan, I thought. Then, I started to look into the actual race track. I found out that it goes right through the heart of the city, along the Las Vegas Strip. This is going to be wild, I figured. The cars will be racing past all those famous hotels and casinos.
- Found the dates: November 21-23.
- Track goes along the Las Vegas Strip.
Next, I wanted to see if I could get a better sense of the track layout. There’s this website called F1 Unlocked, which is supposed to have stories and info about the races. I spent some time there, but honestly, it was more fluff than anything useful. I did manage to find some descriptions of the track, though. It’s got these “high-speed straights” and “challenging corners”. Sounds exciting, but also pretty standard for F1, I guess.
I also wanted to understand how people were going to get around during the race. I mean, the Strip is going to be packed, right? I read that the Las Vegas Monorail is going to be the best way to travel along the Strip during the race. Trains run every 5-10 minutes, which is pretty frequent. Plus, with all the road closures, driving is going to be a nightmare. I even saw somewhere that traffic is going to be “chaotic and highly congested.” No thanks!
Getting Around
- Las Vegas Monorail is the best option.
- Trains every 5-10 minutes.
- Driving will be a mess.
Then I started thinking about where to watch the race from. I saw something about the “Wynn Grid Club” being the “most indulgent way” to watch, with a private terrace and views of Turns 1 and 2. Sounds fancy, but probably way out of my budget. There’s also this East Harmon Zone for grandstand tickets and a VIP Paddock Zone if you’re really loaded. I guess it all depends on how much you’re willing to spend.
Honestly, the whole thing seems like a massive undertaking. They’re turning the Strip into a race track! But it also sounds like an incredible experience. I’m definitely going to keep looking into this. Maybe I’ll even try to go there this year. Who knows! I will update the situation later on.

Anyway, that’s my initial take on the Formula 1 race map in Las Vegas. It’s a lot to take in, but it’s definitely got me curious.
