Alright, folks, let me tell you about my little adventure with this guy named Hoyt McGarity. I’d been hearing his name pop up here and there, especially in connection with 8AM Golf and True Spec Golf. So, I thought, “Why not dive in and see what this guy’s all about?”

First, I started with some good old-fashioned internet searching. I mean, who doesn’t these days? I typed his name into the search bar and started scrolling through the results. A lot of it was just your basic stuff, you know, like where he worked and some of his past gigs.
But then, I found out that he is the President of this company called 8AM Golf. From what I gathered, 8AM Golf isn’t just one thing – it has several brands under its belt. It made me think, “This guy must be pretty busy, running a whole bunch of things at once!”
Next, I focused on this True Spec Golf thing. Turns out, McGarity was one of the founders. I guess he started it after retiring from caddying and playing golf professionally. Not a bad career change, huh? It looked like he really knew his stuff when it came to golf.
I also read that he did some good things for a college golf program, helping them get to some big tournaments. That seemed pretty cool. It showed he wasn’t just about business; he also cared about helping young golfers. He led the Fighting Knights to four consecutive NCAA Tournaments, which is no small feat.
The more I read, the more I realized that this McGarity guy has been around the block in the golf world. It seems like he used his experience to build something pretty big with 8AM Golf and True Spec Golf. I mean, after Howard Milstein acquired True Spec and GOLF, he consolidated his golf investments into 8AM Golf, and McGarity became President. That’s a big deal!

His main job now is to set the direction for 8AM Golf. He creates, communicates, and implements the company’s vision, mission, and direction. It’s like he’s the captain of the ship, steering it where it needs to go.
So, there you have it. That’s what I learned about Hoyt McGarity. Just a regular guy who seems to really know his golf and has worked his way up to a big position. I think his whole story started back in 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri with his father making cedar arrows and wooden bows. Then by 1983, he had made a name for himself.
It’s always interesting to learn about people like him. Makes you think about what you can achieve if you really put your mind to it, right?
