Today, I messed around with this thing called Instygator. At first, I really didn’t know what it was, just heard it was some kind of tool for websites, maybe for comments or something.

So I got started, and the first thing I did was try to make an account. I poked around their site for a bit. It was a little confusing, honestly. I finally found the signup button and clicked it. It asked for my email and stuff. I filled everything in and hit submit.
Then, it said I had to verify my email. I checked my inbox, and yep, there was an email from them. I clicked the link inside to verify. After that, I could finally log in. It felt like a lot of steps just to get started. I logged in with no problem.
Once I was in, I started exploring what this Instygator thing could do. I saw some options for adding comments to websites. That seemed pretty cool. But I also noticed other stuff like polls and trivia. That’s interesting, I thought I can add some interactive polls on my website. I clicked around, trying to figure out how to set those up. It wasn’t super clear, but I eventually found some instructions.
- Signing up: Made an account.
- Email verification: Verified my email.
- Logging in: Logged in successfully.
- Exploring features: Checked out comments, polls, and trivia.
I spent some time playing around with the different settings. I tried adding a poll to a test page on my website. It took a few tries, but I got it working! Then I did the same for a trivia question. I wanted to see how it would look and work on my site. It’s actually pretty neat to have these interactive elements. This is kind of fun, I thought. I can test the website visitors’ knowledge with trivia!
But then I ran into some issues. Sometimes, the comments wouldn’t load properly. Or the poll wouldn’t show up on the page. It was a bit frustrating. I tried refreshing the page, logging out and back in, even using a different browser. Sometimes that fixed it, sometimes it didn’t.

I also noticed that I kept getting logged out of my Instygator account randomly. It was annoying to have to keep logging back in every few minutes. I don’t know why it kept doing that. I checked my browser settings and everything looked fine. Also, I tried to post some comments, but failed sometimes. It said “Comment failed to post.” I really don’t know the reasons.
Experiment Process
- Adding polls: Successfully added polls to my test page.
- Adding trivia: Successfully added trivia questions.
- Troubleshooting: Encountered issues with comments and polls not loading.
- Logout problems: Got logged out frequently and randomly.
- Comment posting issues: Failed to post some comments.
Overall, playing with Instygator was a bit of a mixed bag. It was cool to see the potential of adding interactive stuff to my site. But the technical issues were a real pain. I’m not sure if I’ll keep using it. Maybe I need to do more research or find some better instructions. Or maybe I’ll just look for something else that’s easier to use. I guess I’ll sleep on it and decide later. I am not an expert, just sharing my personal experience. Hope it will be helpful!
