How to get plastids warframe fast? Learn these simple tricks for efficient farming runs.

My Grind for Plastids

Alright, let me tell you about my recent Plastid hunt. I was trying to build something, can’t even remember what now, maybe a part for Nezha? Or was it that Archwing thing? Anyway, looked at my resources and saw I had next to no Plastids. Like, seriously, maybe a handful. And the blueprint needed hundreds, maybe thousands. You know how it is in Warframe.

So, first thing I did was try to remember where the heck these things drop. It’s been a while. Phobos? Saturn? Uranus? Yeah, those sounded familiar. I figured Saturn was probably the easiest place to start.

Hitting Saturn First

I jumped into my Orbiter, pulled up the star chart. Decided on Helene, that defense mission on Saturn. Seemed like a popular spot, usually people running it for leveling gear too, so more enemies, right?

What frame to bring? I thought about it for a second. Needed loot. So, I grabbed my Nekros. You know, for the Desecrate ability. More loot chances, that’s the idea. Grabbed my Ignis Wraith too, just to clear mobs easily without much aiming. Lazy, I know.

Loaded into Helene. Found a random squad already going. Standard defense stuff. Stood near the objective, kept Desecrate active, shot enemies that got close. Mostly just watched the other guys nuke everything. Picked up all the little drops. Blue things, orange things, and yeah, some Plastids.

  • Killed dudes.
  • Pressed ‘3’ a lot (for Desecrate).
  • Walked around vacuuming loot.
  • Tried not to fall asleep.

We stayed for about 20 waves. Checked my haul after leaving. Got maybe, I dunno, 500-600 Plastids? Okay, not bad for 20 minutes, but still nowhere near enough for what I needed. It felt kinda slow.

Trying Uranus Next

Okay, plan B. People always talk about Uranus for resources. Ophelia, the survival mission. Supposedly good for Polymer Bundles too, which I also needed, actually. So, double win maybe?

This time, I switched things up. Took Hydroid. Got that Pilfering Swarm augment, makes his tentacles increase loot drops from affected enemies. Seemed worth a shot. Found a spot on the map, one of those dead-end rooms, and basically set up camp.

Dropped my Tentacle Swarm right in the doorway. Enemies funnelled in, got grabbed, and I just shot them while they were dangling there. Stayed near my tentacles to make sure stuff died inside the swarm area. Recast it whenever it ran out. Had my Smeeta Kavat out too, hoping for that lucky charm buff for double resources. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. Cats, right?

Stayed for about 30 minutes this time. Felt a bit more active than just standing around on Helene. Checked the results after extracting. Yeah, that was better. Got a good chunk, probably over 1000 Plastids. Plus some Polymer Bundles on the side. Nice.

So yeah, that was my Plastid farming adventure. Started on Saturn, wasn’t super impressed. Switched to Uranus with Hydroid and that felt more efficient, at least for me. Still a grind, always a grind for resources. But hey, finally got enough to build that thing I needed. Now I just gotta wait for it to finish cooking in the Foundry.
