Okay, so I needed to run up to Starkville from Louisville the other day. Wasn’t anything major, just had some business to take care of, you know how it is. Decided to just get it done.

Getting Started
First thing, went out to the truck. Checked the tires real quick, made sure the gas tank wasn’t sitting on empty. Always do that, just habit. Didn’t need much, just a quick trip up the road. Grabbed my keys, wallet, the usual stuff you need before heading out.
Locked up the house behind me. Got in the truck, fired it up. Let it run for a minute while I got situated. Adjusted the mirror, tossed my phone on the passenger seat. Ready to roll.
The Drive Itself
Pulled out of my driveway and headed through Louisville towards the highway. Wasn’t too much traffic around town, which was nice. Got onto Highway 25 North. That’s pretty much the main drag to get there, simple enough.
The drive itself is pretty straightforward. Not a whole lot to see that you haven’t seen before if you live around here. Lots of trees, some open fields here and there. Just kept the cruise control on, stayed steady. Passed a few cars, couple of trucks passed me. Standard highway driving.
It really doesn’t take long. Felt like I just got comfortable, maybe listened to a few songs on the radio, and I was already seeing the signs for Starkville coming up. Maybe 30, 40 minutes tops? It’s a quick hop, for sure.

Arrival in Starkville
Rolled off the highway into Starkville proper. You can kinda tell you’re in a bigger town, bit more going on. More traffic lights, more cars. Especially with Mississippi State right there, always seems to add a bit more buzz compared to Louisville.
Found the place I needed to go without too much trouble. Parked the truck, got out, and handled my business. Didn’t stick around too long after that, just did what I came to do.
Then it was just the same trip back in reverse, basically. Hopped back on 25 South and headed home. All in all, a pretty uneventful trip, just getting from point A to point B. Easy drive if you ever need to do it.
