So, decided it was time to get Firefly leveled up. You know how it is, new character drops, everyone’s excited, and I wanted to see what she could do. First thing first, gotta figure out what stuff she actually needs to ascend. Always a bit of a treasure hunt, this part.
Figuring Out the Shopping List
I popped open her character screen, clicked on that ‘Ascension’ button, and started jotting things down. Right away, I saw the usual suspects:
- Tatters of Thought
- Fragments of Impression
- Shards of Desires
Yeah, those things. The Memory Zone Meme enemies drop ’em. Knew I’d be spending some quality time beating up sentient TVs and grumpy clocks in Penacony. Looked like I needed a whole bunch across all the ascension levels. Standard stuff, really.
Then there was the other icon, the boss material. Had to check which Stagnant Shadow drops it. Found it – the one called ‘Shape of Ire’. Drops something called Raging Heart. Okay, added that to my list. Looked like I’d need quite a few of those too for the later ascension levels.
While I was at it, I took a quick peek at her Traces too. Saw she needed those teeth things – Borisin Teeth, Lupitoxin Sawteeth, Moon Madness Fang. Plus more of those Tatters/Fragments/Shards. Good to know, gotta farm those eventually, but focused on ascension first.
Getting Down to Business: The Grind
Alright, plan sorted. First up, the easy part – or maybe the most tedious part? Farming the Tatters line. I just teleported around the Penacony maps, looking for those Memory Zone Meme enemies. Found a few good spots where they bunch up. Spent a good chunk of time just running circuits, auto-battling mostly. You just put on some music or a podcast and zone out, smashing robo-dinos and weird clocks. Got a decent pile of Tatters, Fragments, and Shards after a while. Not too bad, just takes patience.
Next up, the Raging Heart things. Headed over to the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Ire. This took a bit more focus than the mob farming. Had to actually pay attention to the fight mechanics. Burned through my Trailblaze Power pretty quick doing runs. Each run only gives you like, two or three of those Hearts? Yeah, had to come back a few times over a couple of days whenever my power recharged. Did the highest difficulty I could manage reliably to get the most out of each run. It wasn’t super hard, but doing it repeatedly… well, you know how it is.
Wrapping Up (For Now)
So after all that running around and beating up bosses, I finally managed to gather enough materials to get Firefly through her main ascension levels. Still gotta work on her Traces, level up her Light Cone – probably gonna aim for her signature one if I can get it, heard it’s real good for Break Effect which she seems to like – and get her relics sorted. But hey, the main ascension hurdle is cleared.
It’s always a process with these games, isn’t it? A bit of a grind, but seeing the character get stronger makes it feel worth it. Now, gotta actually level her up properly and see how she performs on the team!
