Honda Hornet CB600FA Specs: Everything You Need to Know In Detail.

Must read

Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another project! Today, I’m diving into the world of motorcycles, specifically working on my Honda Hornet CB600FA. I picked up this bike a while back, and it’s been a fun ride. It is a street motorcycle manufactured by Honda and powered by a 599 cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine.

So I started by getting my hands dirty with the engine. This thing’s got a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine, which is pretty standard but still cool. It’s the same engine setup they used in those mid-90s CBR600Fs, but with carbs instead of fuel injection. I spent some time cleaning the carbs and making sure everything was running smoothly. The engine’s got a displacement of 599cc, which gives it a nice bit of power. I noticed that it needs a bit of revving if you really want to feel that kick, but it’s smooth enough for city riding. The clutch is surprisingly light, which is a plus.

Next, I moved on to the body. My Hornet’s a 2007 model, and they made some changes that year. I found out that they upped the tank size to 19 liters, which is great for longer rides. They also bumped up the power to around 101bhp. It is a big update! Also the model shares most of the components with the CBR600F, like the inverted front forks and the aluminum mono-backbone frame.

I also checked out the specs for the 2009 and 2012 models. The 2009 version boasts 100.57 HP at 12000 RPM and weighs in at 173 kg. The seat height is 800 mm. The 2012 model has similar power specs, and also the same seat height.

For the final step, I ensured that the bike is the unfaired model, which means it’s the naked version without all the extra bodywork. I like the look of it – it’s raw and mean. The bike’s got a six-speed gearbox, and it runs on gasoline. This is all pretty standard for a bike from that year.

Overall, it’s been a blast working on this Honda Hornet CB600FA. I learned a lot about the different model years and their specs. It is a pretty cool machine. This bike’s got a good mix of power and reliability, and it’s been a great project to tinker with.
