Today, I wanna share my experience with cooking veal. It was my first time, and I was a little nervous, but it turned out to be a fun adventure in the kitchen!

First, I went to the store to buy the veal. I saw ground veal at the butcher shop. It looked really tender, so I thought that’d be a good start. I also grabbed some basic stuff like salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, and some herbs because I read somewhere that they’re good with veal.

When I got home, I looked up some easy recipes online. There were so many options! You could make veal in so many ways, like sauteing, braising, and even stir-frying. I decided to go with baked veal cutlets because it sounded simple enough for a beginner like me.

So, I prepared the veal. I laid out the cutlets and seasoned them with salt and pepper. Then, I prepared the breading station. I put some flour in one dish, a couple of beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with herbs in the third. I dipped each cutlet in the flour, then the egg, and finally coated them with the breadcrumb mixture. Oh boy, it was a bit messy, but kind of fun!

I preheated the oven to the temperature mentioned in the recipe and placed the breaded cutlets on a baking sheet. I popped them in the oven and waited. The waiting was the hardest part! I kept checking every few minutes, worried they might burn.

After about 20 minutes, they were done! Golden brown and crispy. I was so excited to try them. I also made a simple pasta with veal bolognese. It’s just a fancy word for a meat sauce. I used some of that ground veal I bought, cooked it with tomatoes and some spices. Pretty straightforward, actually.
