Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this whole thing with finding Morels in Once Human. It’s kinda been my latest obsession. So, picture this: I’m starting out, right? I heard a lot about these Morel things, especially the Deviated ones. They’re like, super rare and everyone wants them. So, I’m thinking, “I gotta get me some of those.”

First thing I did was hit up the Red Sands region. I heard from some guys online that the Securement Silo there is a goldmine for Morels. So, I geared up and went over. Man, it was a trek, but totally worth it. I got there and started exploring. Mostly, I just beat the crap out of anything that moved and looted everything I could find. I did find some Morels, but not as many as I hoped. But hey, it was a start!
Then, I remembered another tip I got – the 73 Source Extraction Point. It’s north of the Teleportation Tower, which, by the way, is a lifesaver in this game. Saved me so much time. Anyway, I teleported over and went to this extraction point. It was crawling with these chemist guys, but I took care of them. After that, I started searching the white cabinets there. And guess what? I found some more Morel seeds! I was pretty pumped about that. It’s like, every little bit counts, you know?
But that’s not all. I also tried something else. I had this Compost Bin in my inventory, and I heard you could use it to turn spoiled food into mushrooms. And, if you’re lucky, you might get Morels. So, I started throwing all my spoiled food in there. Most of the time, it was just regular mushrooms, but I did get a few Morels that way. It’s a bit of a long shot, but it’s something.
Turning Regular Morels into Deviated Morels
- Grow Your Own: Okay, so I started planting these Morel seeds I found. It’s kinda cool, you can actually grow your own stuff in this game. But here’s the kicker – there’s this random chance that your Morels will turn into Deviated Morels. It’s like a lottery, super exciting!
- Mutation Boost Fertilizer: Now, to increase my chances, I got my hands on some Mutation Boost Fertilizer. I used this stuff on my Morel crops, and it felt like I was hitting the jackpot more often. It’s not guaranteed, but it definitely helps.
Also, I found out you can buy Morel Seeds from vendors. I even started selling some of mine and made a decent amount of energy links. It’s a good way to make some in-game currency if you’re into that.
Honestly, the whole experience has been a blast. From exploring different areas to experimenting with growing and even getting into the trading side of things. It’s been a wild ride. And the best part is, I’m still finding new stuff and learning as I go. If you’re playing Once Human, definitely give Morel hunting a try. It’s a lot of fun!
