Suggestive pose ideas you need to know for photography.

Must read

Okay, so yesterday I was messing around trying to get some more interesting poses out of my AI image generator. I saw some people online talking about “suggestive poses” and figured, why not give it a shot?

First thing I did was fire up my usual image gen setup. I’m using a local install of Stable Diffusion, so I can really tweak the parameters without worrying about getting banned or anything. Plus, I’m not sending anything to some random company’s servers, you know?

Anyway, I started with a pretty basic prompt: “a woman standing in a dimly lit room.” Just wanted to get a baseline. The image that came out was… fine. Totally vanilla. So I started thinking about how to make it a bit more… spicy. Not like, outright NSFW, but just something with a bit more attitude.

I remembered seeing something about using adjectives to really guide the AI, so I added “sultry” to the prompt. “A sultry woman standing in a dimly lit room.” Better, but still kinda stiff. She was just standing there, looking vaguely annoyed.

Then I started playing around with the verbs. Instead of “standing,” I tried “leaning against a wall,” “reclining on a couch,” “kneeling on the floor.” That got me closer to what I was aiming for. The “kneeling on the floor” one was interesting; it had a bit of a submissive vibe, which wasn’t exactly what I was going for, but it showed that the AI was picking up on the nuances.

Next, I started messing with the camera angles. “Low angle shot,” “close up,” “over the shoulder.” That made a big difference! The “low angle shot” really emphasized the figure, and the “over the shoulder” gave it a more voyeuristic feel.

Here’s where things got a little tricky. I wanted to add some elements of clothing and environment to the pose, but I had to be careful not to cross any lines. I tried “wearing a silk robe, partially open,” but that just resulted in a bunch of weird, distorted fabric. The AI seemed to struggle with the “partially open” part. It was either fully closed or completely off.

So, I toned it down and went with “wearing a loose-fitting dress.” That worked better. I also added “with her hair slightly disheveled” to give it a more casual, intimate feel.

  • Basic Prompt: woman standing in dimly lit room
  • Added Adjective: sultry woman standing in dimly lit room
  • Changed Verb: sultry woman kneeling on the floor in dimly lit room
  • Camera Angle: low angle shot of a sultry woman kneeling on the floor in dimly lit room
  • Clothing Detail: low angle shot of a sultry woman kneeling on the floor in dimly lit room, wearing a loose-fitting dress
  • Added Detail: low angle shot of a sultry woman kneeling on the floor in dimly lit room, wearing a loose-fitting dress, with her hair slightly disheveled

Finally, I started tweaking the seed value. This is basically a random number that the AI uses to generate the image. By changing the seed, you can get variations on the same prompt. I ran a bunch of iterations, and eventually, I got a few images that I was happy with. They weren’t explicitly sexual, but they definitely had a suggestive quality to them.

The key takeaway for me was that it’s all about subtle cues. You don’t need to be explicit to create a suggestive pose. A well-chosen camera angle, a carefully selected verb, and a few suggestive details can go a long way. And, of course, a little bit of trial and error.

Now, I’m not going to share the exact prompts I ended up with, but hopefully, this gives you some ideas on how to experiment with suggestive poses in your own AI image generation projects. Just remember to be respectful and ethical, and don’t go overboard.
