Okay, so I decided I wanted to really get into ‘Marine Fortress’ and make sure I found every single boss in there. It felt like a proper challenge, you know? Not just beat the game, but really see everything it had hidden away.
So, I jumped back into the game. Started from the beginning areas, the places I already kinda knew. Went through the outer sections first. Found the first couple of bosses pretty quick, the ones guarding the main entrances and the early labs. Nothing too wild, just had to learn their basic moves and smack ’em around a bit. It felt good to get those easy ones out of the way.
Then I pushed deeper inside. The layout started getting trickier, more maze-like. Had to really start paying attention to the map, exploring every little side room and vent. Found a nasty one in the engine rooms, took me a few tries because it kept throwing fire everywhere. Had to figure out the safe spots.
Pushing Through the Middle
Things got tougher around the middle sections, like the flooded research labs and the armory. These bosses weren’t just big brutes; they had patterns, specific weaknesses. I remember spending a good chunk of time on the one in the waterlogged area. Kept getting cornered. Had to really work on my dodging and timing.
- Spent ages searching the underwater tunnels.
- Fought that weird mech thing in the weapons testing zone. That took a lot of ammo.
- Checked security logs sometimes for hints on where special units might be held.
I started making notes, just rough stuff, like ‘check weird door in Sector C’ or ‘boss likely near power core’. It helped me keep track because the fortress is just huge.
The Late Game Hunt
The last few bosses were really hidden away. Had to backtrack quite a bit. Found one tucked away behind a puzzle I’d missed earlier. Another one only showed up after I activated some specific sequence in the command center area. That felt like real detective work almost. Getting through those final security checkpoints and restricted zones was intense.
Finally, I reached what I thought was the end, the big main boss guy in the central command. Big fight, lots of phases. Beat him, felt great. But then I checked my notes and the map again… realised there was still one optional area I hadn’t fully explored.
Went back, found this really hidden path, and sure enough, there was one last, super tough secret boss. That fight was probably the hardest, took everything I had. But when it finally went down, man, that was satisfying. Knowing I’d actually found and beaten every single one of them. Took a while, lots of trial and error, but totally worth it.
