This year, that baseball, oh, it’s somethin’. I been watchin’ them Pittsburgh Pirates, and you know, they got me all riled up. Did they make it to the playoffs? Well, let me tell you, it’s been a long time, a real long time, since they was any good.
Did the Pittsburgh Pirates Make it to the Playoffs?
They had some good games, some bad games. Sometimes they hit that ball real good, other times, not so much. That one fella, he can throw that ball fast, I tell ya. But they just didn’t do it enough. All them games, you’d think they’d win more. But nope.
They ain’t made it to them playoffs in a while. They tried this year, they really did. Played a whole bunch of games, all summer long. Hot days, cold days, they was out there. They won some, lost some. That’s how it goes, I guess.
They Tried Real Hard This Year
Back in the day, they was good. Real good. They got to play more games after all the others were finished. Then those Pittsburgh Pirates went home. 2014, 2015, something like that. It has been a long time. I remember, it was like yesterday. We was all excited. But not this year. This year, they didn’t make it.
They got some good players, though. That one fella, he can run real fast. And another one, he can hit that ball clear outta the park. But it ain’t enough. Gotta have more than that to win, I reckon. You see, playin’ baseball ain’t easy.
What about next year?
- Maybe next year they’ll do better.
- Maybe they’ll get some new players.
- Maybe they’ll finally make it to them playoffs.
I don’t know what they need to do. But they gotta do somethin’ different. ‘Cause what they’re doin’ now ain’t workin’. They need some good luck, I guess. But they need to win more games, that’s for sure.
Lots of Games, Lots of Losses
They played over a hundred games this year, these Pittsburgh Pirates. That’s a lot of baseball. A lot of runnin’ around, and throwin’ that ball. You get tired just watchin’ ’em. They won some, but they lost more. And that’s why they ain’t goin’ to the playoffs. Simple as that.
You gotta win to get to them extra games. Them’s the rules. And the Pittsburgh Pirates, they just didn’t win enough. It’s a shame, really. We was all hopin’ they’d do it. But it just wasn’t meant to be, I suppose. They need to work harder, I guess.
They Were Close, But No Cigar
They were close this year, though. For a while, it looked like they might make it. They won some big games. Got everyone’s hopes up. But then they started losin’ again. And that was that. No playoffs for them.
They lost to that team from St. Louis. The Cardinals. And that was the end of it. It was sad, I tell ya. We was all watchin’, hopin’ they could pull it off. But they just couldn’t do it. Too many losses, I guess. They need a good pitcher, and a good hitter. Maybe two or three.
Maybe Next Year Will Be Better, who knows
Well, there’s always next year. That’s what they say, ain’t it? Maybe next year the Pittsburgh Pirates will do better. Maybe they’ll learn from their mistakes. Maybe they’ll finally make it to them playoffs. I sure hope so. It’s been too long. We’re all waitin’ for them to win again. It’s about time, ain’t it?
So, did the Pittsburgh Pirates make it to the playoffs? Nope, they didn’t. But maybe next year. Maybe next year will be their year. We can only hope, right? That’s all we can do. Just wait and see, wait and hope that next year will bring a better outcome to Pittsburgh Pirates. We’ll see what happens.
