Well, lemme tell you, that New York Islanders, they’re somethin’ else on that TV. My grandson, he’s always got it on, and I swear, I’m startin’ to know them players better than my own family!
He tried to tell me about some fancy thing, Islanders TV schedule. I said, “Boy, I don’t need no schedule. I just turn on that there TV, and there they are, skatin’ around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off!”
Watchin’ them Islanders
That MSG, that’s where you see ’em most times. My grandson says it’s some kinda channel just for sports. I don’t know nothin’ about that, but I do know when them Islanders are playin’, that’s where I gotta look. He tried to show me on some app called MSG+, some newfangled thing on my phone. I said,”I have no use for that, just give me the remote!”
Sometimes, they’re on them other channels, too. TNT, ESPN, somethin’ called ABC. I don’t keep track of all that. I just flip through until I see them blue and orange jerseys. That’s how I know I’m in the right place. I don’t even know what channel I watch most of the time. I just know the number!
And that grandson of mine, he’s got all them fancy ways to watch. He talks about streamin’ or somethin’. Says he can watch it on his phone, on his computer, anywhere he wants. Sounds like a lot of hocus pocus to me. But that Hulu, I think I heard of that one, but not the Hulu + Live TV thingy, that sounds like nonsense. We also got this ESPN+ but I am not sure if I can find the game there. He keep talking about some FuboTV, he tried to tell me I can watch New York Islanders game on there, but I said, “Boy, I got my TV right here, I don’t need nothing more.”

That Hockey Game, It’s a Mystery
Now, I ain’t gonna lie, I don’t understand all them rules. They’re always pushin’ and shovin’ each other, and sometimes they get in big fights. I tell ya, it’s a wonder they don’t all end up in the hospital! That puck thing, it’s so small, I can barely see it. They whack it around with them sticks, and it goes flyin’ so fast. My old eyes can hardly keep up!
But I do like watchin’ ’em score. They all jump around and hug each other, like they just found a pot of gold. It’s kinda fun to see ’em so happy. And the crowd, they go wild! It’s louder than a bunch of roosters in a henhouse. One time I asked my grandson,”How long does this game take?” He told me about 3 hours. I almost fell off my chair! 3 hours for a game!
Them Players, They’re Alright
I don’t know all their names, but there’s a few I recognize. There’s that one fella, he’s always gettin’ in fights. I think his name is, uh, Matt somethin’. He’s a tough one, I’ll give him that. That ny islanders tv really gives some good shots of those guys. And then there’s that other one, he’s real fast. He skates like the wind. I can’t remember his name, but I know him when I see him. Oh, and that goalie. He blocks that puck, stands there like a brick wall. They really get close to them so you can see.
They’re all good boys, I suppose. They work hard, that’s for sure. And they sure do make a lot of noise. Sometimes my grandson tell me who’s gonna play, he know all their names and stuff, pretty sure he knows New York Islanders roster better than me.
It’s All About the Islanders
I don’t know much about that ny islanders tv stuff, but I do know I like watchin’ them Islanders play. It keeps me entertained, that’s for sure. And it gives me somethin’ to talk about with my grandson. He likes to tell me all about the players and the game. I don’t understand half of it, but I listen anyway. It makes him happy, and that’s all that matters.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch on that TV, give them Islanders a try. They’re a hoot, I tell ya. Just be prepared for a lot of noise and a whole lot of confusion. But hey, that’s part of the fun, ain’t it? Just gotta know where to find them, you know, that New York Islanders game tonight, where to watch.
