Looking for a Great Goodyear AZ Golf Course? Try Tuscany Falls!

Must read

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out this Tuscany Falls Golf Course in Goodyear, AZ for a while now. Heard some good things, and you know, gotta get that swing in. So, I finally made it happen!

First thing I did was check the weather, of course. Arizona sun is no joke, even in what they call the “cooler” months. Looked good, a bit breezy maybe, but hey, that’s just another challenge, right?

Next, I jumped online to see about tee times. Didn’t want to show up and be stuck waiting for hours. Their website was pretty easy to navigate, and I grabbed a slot for a weekday morning – figured it would be less crowded.

Getting There and First Impressions

The drive out there was smooth. Goodyear’s pretty easy to get around, and the course is well-signposted. Pulled up, and the place looked pretty impressive! Nice clubhouse, well-maintained landscaping, the whole nine yards. You could tell they put some effort into keeping it looking good.

Checked in at the pro shop, the staff was friendly and helpful, got my cart, and headed out to the range to warm up. They had a decent-sized driving range, plenty of space to loosen up. The practice putting green was in good shape too, so I spent a few minutes getting a feel for the speed.

The Course Itself

Okay, so Tuscany Falls, they actually have a few different courses, and I played the… I think it was the “Lakes” course? Lots of water, as you might guess. Made things interesting!

  • The fairways were in pretty good condition, mostly lush, a few dry patches here and there, but nothing major.
  • The greens were… challenging. Fast, and with some pretty serious slopes. Definitely tested my putting skills (or lack thereof!).
  • The layout was interesting. Some holes were pretty straightforward, others had some tricky doglegs or well-placed bunkers. Kept you on your toes.
  • The Water Hazards are beautiful, well maintained.

I had a couple of… let’s call them “adventures” with the water. Lost a few balls, but hey, that’s golf, right? Overall, I thought the course was well-maintained and offered a good mix of challenge and playability.

Post-Round Wrap-Up

Finished up the round, grabbed a drink at the clubhouse. They had a nice patio area overlooking the course, which was a great spot to relax and recap the game (mostly complaining about those missed putts!).

All in all, I had a great time at Tuscany Falls. It’s a course I’d definitely recommend, especially if you’re looking for a good challenge and some nice scenery. Just maybe bring a few extra balls if you’re prone to finding the water like I am!
