Alright, guys, so I’ve been playing a lot of Pokémon lately, and I kept getting wrecked by this one specific Pokémon – Mega Gallade. It’s super strong and fast, and I just couldn’t figure out how to beat it consistently. So, I decided to do some digging and really figure out this Mega Gallade weakness thing. Here’s what I did:

Experiment in Battles
First, I just started throwing different Pokémon at it in online battles. I figured the best way to learn was by doing, ya know? I tried using my trusty Charizard, thinking a good Fire Blast would do the trick, but nope! Got taken down way too quickly.
Then I switched to my bulky Garchomp, hoping to outlast it with some strong Ground-type moves. Didn’t work either. Mega Gallade is just too darn fast and hits like a truck.
Researching Weakness
After getting my butt kicked a few times, I decided I needed to get a little smarter about this. So, I pulled up some websites with type matchups. It’s a basic thing, but sometimes I forget to check! I quickly confirmed that Mega Gallade is a Psychic/Fighting type.
- Psychic-type Pokémon are known to be weak with Bug, Ghost, and Dark.
- Fighting-type Pokémon are vulnerable to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy attacks.
That makes it sounds like a big problem, but then I remembered, It’s a dual type!
Then it hit me. The best ways to deal some serious damage would be with:

- Ghost-type moves
- Flying-type moves
- Fairy-type moves
Fairy, Flying, and Ghost! Easy enough to remember.
Test the Result
I quickly built a new team.
I added a Gengar to my team, figuring its Shadow Ball would be super effective. I also brought in my Talonflame with Brave Bird. The Talonflame is pretty fast, and the Brave Bird is a strong, reliable attack.
Back into online battles, I went. And guess what? It worked! Gengar’s Shadow Ball did a massive chunk of damage, and Talonflame was able to outspeed and finish it off with Brave Bird. I even tried a Sylveon with Moonblast (a Fairy-type move) in another battle, and that worked great too!

So, there you have it. My journey to understanding and exploiting Mega Gallade’s weaknesses. It took some trial and error, some research, and a bit of team re-building, but I finally got there. Remember guys, type matchups are key! Don’t be like me and just brute force it – use your type advantages!
