Okay, so I’ve been getting into Magic: The Gathering lately, specifically this “Foundations” set everyone’s talking about. I heard there are some “chase cards” – you know, the rare and valuable ones – that people are really hunting for. I decided to try my luck and document the whole process. It all started with a trip to my local game store.

I walked in, and it was like a whole new world. People were huddled around tables, cards splayed out, deep in concentration. I felt a little intimidated, but I went straight to the counter and asked about the Foundations boosters.
The guy behind the counter, super helpful, showed me the packs. He told me the set recently came out.
I grabbed a few packs, feeling that familiar thrill of the unknown. You never know what you’re gonna get, right? I paid for them, found a quiet corner, and started ripping them open.
- Pack 1: Nothing too crazy. Some decent commons and uncommons, but no chase cards.
- Pack 2: Still no luck. I started to wonder if this whole “chase card” thing was just a myth.
- Pack 3: I was started to get my hopes up… and then got some cards. Still, not a loss.
I decided to call it a day. Didn’t pull any of the big hits, but, hey, that’s part of the game. It’s like a treasure hunt, and sometimes you just don’t find the gold.
Even though I didn’t score big, it was fun. I still enjoyed it, that’s all I can say. I think I might go back and play some games.
