Okay, so I was digging around for some old NFL data, specifically about the Kansas City Chiefs, and I stumbled upon their 2012 season. Man, what a trip down memory lane – and not exactly a fun trip, if I’m being honest.

First, I pulled up the Chiefs’ 2012 schedule and results. I just used a regular sports stats website; nothing fancy. It’s pretty easy to find this stuff online.
Remembering the Pain
Seeing that 2-14 record brought back all the frustration. I remember that season being absolutely brutal. We were terrible! It felt like every week was a new low.
- I started by looking at the overall record. Ouch.
- Then, I went game by game, just to refresh my memory (and torture myself a little, I guess).
- I checked out some of the key stats, like points scored and points allowed. More pain.
- I also find game result. For example, Chiefs vs. Saints. I see the result 27-24 for Saints.
I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through the game summaries and box scores. I even watched some old highlight reels (or should I say “lowlight” reels?).
It wasn’t all for nothing, though. I wanted to see if there were any, like, tiny glimmers of hope in that disastrous season. Maybe a standout performance here or there, a close game that could’ve gone the other way… something!
I remember the quarterback changes, and that Brady Quinn played.
It’s kind of funny, in a sad way, to look back at a season like that. It definitely puts things in perspective, especially when you see how far the Chiefs have come since then! It just show how much the team could change.
