Okay, so, let’s talk about these 5.11 boxers. I’ve been seeing them pop up everywhere, and I finally decided to give them a shot. I was looking for something comfortable, something that could handle a bit of a workout without falling apart, you know?

First thing I did was order a couple of pairs online. I mean, who goes to stores anymore, right? I went for the longer boxer brief style, seemed like a good middle ground. They arrived, and I gotta say, the packaging was pretty slick, I read somewhere that the marketing is what first got some guy interested in some brands, I guess that make sense, it got me too!
Unboxing and First Impressions
- Unboxed them, and the material felt pretty good. Not super soft, but like it could take a beating.
- Tried them on, and the fit was spot on. Snug, but not too tight, good support where it counts.
Putting Them to the Test
Now for the real test. I wore them around the house, did some chores, you know, the usual. Then I took them for a spin at the gym. Did some lifting, a bit of cardio, nothing too crazy.
- Around the house, they were great. No bunching, no riding up, felt pretty much invisible. I read a post somewhere that these boxers don’t bunch and yes that is correct.
- At the gym, they held up well. Wicked away sweat like a champ, no chafing, which is a big win in my book. They’re also pretty good for air circulation.
Days later and some thoughts
I’ve been wearing these boxers for a few days now, and I’m pretty impressed. They’re comfortable enough for everyday wear, but they can also handle a bit of action. I even slept in them a couple of nights, and they were fine, maybe not as breezy as regular boxers, but still comfy. I mean if you sit all day maybe regular boxers are better but for me 5.11 is just great.
I also really dig that they come in different lengths. Some days, you want a little more coverage, you know? There are brief, short boxer brief, longer boxer brief, I picked the longer one just to be safe.
The Verdict
So, are these 5.11 boxers worth the hype? I’d say yeah, they are. Like some people said online the hype is real! They’re not the cheapest boxers out there, but they feel like they’re built to last, also some guy online said something about dragging 5.11 gear through mountains and forests so I think I can trust their quality. And the comfort factor is definitely there. I saw some people online compare these to other brands like Calvin Klein and some even talked about boxing gloves, but honestly, for everyday wear and a bit of a workout, these are solid.

I’m thinking of grabbing a few more pairs, maybe try out the shorter ones. I know this other brand has some seamless boxers, and they say they’re super comfy, but I’m pretty happy with these 5.11s for now. If you’re on the fence, I’d say give them a try. You might be surprised.
And I think that’s pretty much it. I wore it, I liked it, I will buy more of it. Hope this helps someone who wants to buy some good boxers!
