Alright, let’s talk about the 2021 Wyndham Championship. Man, what a wild ride that was!
So, picture this: I’m all set up to watch this tournament. I heard it was going to be a good one, and boy, was it ever. I remember settling in, getting comfortable, ready for some golf action. Little did I know what I was in for.
First off, they played at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro. Nice place, from what I could see on the screen. Now, this thing went on, and round two got suspended because it was too dark. Can you believe that? They had to stop because of darkness! I’m thinking, “These guys must be exhausted.”
And then came Sunday. Oh boy, Sunday. They managed to squeeze in the second, third, and final rounds all in one day! It was like the longest day of golf ever. I was glued to the screen, watching it all unfold. I kept checking the scores, seeing who was up, who was down, the whole nine yards.
Now, get this: it ended up in a six-way playoff. Six guys all tied for first place! I’m on the edge of my seat, watching this sudden-death playoff. I couldn’t believe it. They said it tied some PGA Tour record for the most people in a playoff. Happened a couple of times before, apparently, but still, six guys!

- Then there’s this Aaron Rai guy, picking up a hefty sum and 500 FedExCup points. I mean, that’s a good day’s work right there.
I was so invested in this tournament. I spent the whole day watching, checking the leaderboard, seeing where everyone finished. It was intense, but man, it was fun. I love watching these things, and this one was definitely one for the books.
So yeah, that was my experience with the 2021 Wyndham Championship. A long day, a crazy playoff, and a whole lot of golf. What more could you ask for? I enjoyed every minute of it, well, except maybe when they had to stop for darkness. But hey, that’s just part of the game, right?
