Okay, so the other day I was looking at this workout routine, and it kept talking about weights in lbs. Now, I’m used to kilograms, so I was totally lost. I needed to figure out what 145lbs actually meant in a way I understood.
First things first, I grabbed my phone. No need to get fancy, the built-in calculator would do just fine. I knew I needed to find a conversion factor, so I did a quick search. It turns out that one pound is roughly equal to 0.453592 kilograms. Good to know!
My Conversion Process
I’ve got 145lbs and I needed that in kg
- Opened the calculator app on my phone.
- Typed in 145 (the lbs I wanted to convert).
- Then I hit the multiply button (x).
- Typed 0.453592.
Then hit the equals sign, and boom! The answer popped up on the screen: 65.77084. So, 145lbs is about 65.77 kilograms.
I am used to rounding, there is no need to be so * I just rounded it up in my head to around 66kg. That’s a weight I can actually picture, and now that workout routine made a whole lot more sense! Now I am able to know that I can do that and I am strong enough!
