So, I got this thing for the ’08 Kawasaki Ninja 600, right? Let me tell you, it’s been a ride – literally and figuratively.

I started by looking around, you know, just browsing. Found a bunch of these bikes online, on those motorcycle selling sites. Prices were all over the place, man. Some were asking for like 1,800 bucks, others went up to around 8 grand. It was a mixed bag.
I checked out a few, from both dealers and some regular folks selling theirs. It was interesting. One was a 2005 ZZR 600, kind of similar, had about 11,000 on the odometer. Looked pretty cool with a custom paint job, and the seller said the title was clean, which is always a plus.
Here’s what I did:
- Looked Everywhere: First off, I was all over the internet, checking out what’s out there for used ’08 Kawasaki Ninja 600s.
- Compared Prices: Some were crazy cheap, some were expensive. I had to weigh what I was getting for the money.
- Checked ‘Em Out: I went and saw a few in person. It’s different seeing them up close, you know?
- Asked Around: Talked to the sellers, got the lowdown on the bike’s history, any issues, all that stuff.
There was this one place, I think it was called smartcycleguide or something, that had a ton of listings. Like, 259 of them! It was a good spot to compare what was out there. I also found some on Carsforsale, for as low as around 3,890 bucks. Not bad, right?
I heard from some folks that Kawasaki’s are pretty solid. No big issues with the engine or anything. A buddy of mine had an older ZX-6RR and he said it ran like a dream, even though he rode it pretty hard.

Then there’s the newer models, like the 2013 ZX-6R 636. Apparently, that one’s got more power. They bumped up the engine size again, which is pretty sweet.
My Takeaway
It’s a whole process, buying one of these. You gotta do your homework, compare prices, and really check out the bike’s condition. And yeah, it’s kinda cool to learn about the different models and what people say about them. Anyway, that’s my story with the ’08 Kawasaki Ninja 600 hunt. It’s been quite the adventure, and I’m still looking!
